PC Game Recording |
By selecting PC Mode you can record your DirectX 8, 9, 10 and OpenGL games. To record your games run Quobi and then start your games as normal. When the game runs the Quobi logo will appear in the top right corner of the game to indicate that your can start recording.
To record a video press the record hotkey (default: F8) and the logo will change to red to indicate that the recording has started. To stop recording press the hotkey again.
When using PC Mode you can also screenshot your games (default: F10) and benchmark test your games (default: F11) by pressing the hotkeys. After closing the game the video and screenshot thumbnails will refresh so that you can view your new recordings. |

Console Recording |
By selecting Console Mode you can record any console via a capture device. A capture device can be any graphics card or TV card with video-in. You can also use a USB capture device.
Once you have installed your capture device connect your console to the video-in and microphone/line-in inputs and then select the Console Mode option on Quobi to show the console recorder window.
On the console recorder window select the correct capture device from the drop down list to show the video preview from the console. Once the preview is showing you can record your console and take screenshots by pressing the same hotkeys as PC Mode (see above). After closing the console recorder window the video and screenshot thumbnails will refresh so that you can view your new recordings.

Flash Recording |
By selecting Flash Mode you can record your browser based flash games in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera (other browsers may be supported).
To record your games select the Flash Mode option on Quobi and then open the website in the browser. Quobi will automatically find and highlight flash objects on the web page. If the wrong flash object has been highlighted then press the Toggle hotkey (default: F12) until the correct one is highlighted.
To start recording the game and taking the screenshots press the same hotkeys as PC Mode (see above). After closing the browser window or leaving the site the video and screenshot thumbnails will refresh so that you can view your new recordings.

Thumbnail Browsing |
Both your video and screenshot recordings will be shown as easy to find thumbnail images on the video and screenshot tabs. For each thumbnail you can easily view the recording by double clicking on the image or by clicking on the Play and View options.
For both videos and screenshot thumbnails you will have an Edit option. Clicking on this option will open up the editor where you can modify the recordings and apply visual effects.
On the video thumbnails there is an Update options that when clicking adds the video to your YouTube™ upload queue. On the screenshot thumbnails there is a Desktop option that when clicked sets the screenshot as your desktop wallpaper.

Built-In Editors |
After recording your games you can edit both your videos and your screenshot by clicking on the edit option on the thumbnails.
On the video editor you can change the video and audio codecs, the dimensions, the brightness and contrast, the video length and apply a wide range of different visual effects such as Comic Strip, Movie, Thermal Camera, Sketch and any more.
On the screenshot editor you change the image file format by choosing from BMP, JPEG, PNG and TGA. You can also change the image dimensions, the brightness and contrast and apply the same visual effects as the video editor.
With Quobi's built-in editors there is no need to use multiple software packages to get the recordings you want, because with Quobi you can do it all.
